In
1989 Themis
and Pallas,
the two
enormos
statues
that had
adormed
the façade
of the
National
Aseembly
building in Paris, since 1812, having
been seriously
damaged by
the elements,
were replaced
by copies.
The urban community of
the
Cherbourg,
having
inherited
the originals, asked Pierre Bataille to
restoration of the
statues
which proved
to be a
real puzzle
of reconstruction
lasting
5 months. |
