Having
acquired
a certain experience
in narrative
sculpture on
wood,
in 1983
Pierre
Bataille decides
to use
this medium
to one
of his
own panel
sculptures.
So,
in 1984, he creates
his own drawings
and transfers them onto
the wooden panels
(8 in all, making
a total length of
65 feet) thus
depicting the first
voyage discovery
of Jacques Cartier
to the new lands of
Canada. |
